How AE Optimizer Social Sharing Turns Published Articles into Useful Social Drafts

How social drafts, resource links, channel settings, and manual review connect published articles with shorter posts and replies.

AE Optimizer Social Sharing: Generate drafts, the published-article prerequisite, and channel controls.

Publishing an article is a beginning, not the whole distribution process. AE Optimizer's Social Sharing screen takes already-published articles and prepares shorter, channel-specific drafts that can introduce the subject to people who may never discover the original page on their own.

The distinction matters: an article develops the answer; a social post gives someone a useful reason to read further. Social Sharing connects the two without making every post a bare promotional link.

Publish an article before generating social drafts

The screenshot shows a clear prerequisite: “No published articles to share yet — create and publish an article campaign first.” Social Sharing works from published articles, rather than treating an unfinished draft as a destination ready for readers.

Start with Article Campaigns. Before sharing an article, confirm that its public page exists and that the resources it references are available.

Those resources come from the AI Resource Library, which provides the underlying pages for the wider publishing workflow.

Generate variations that stand on their own

The description at the top of the screen names LinkedIn posts, X threads, and Reddit replies, with two variations each. It also specifies two important writing rules: every post should be useful on its own, and each draft should contain exactly one resource link.

That link is rotated between the main site and published mirrors. In practice, this means the destination should match the subject of the post rather than being added simply to create another link.

For example, a short post about a recurring customer question should give readers a meaningful answer before inviting them to read the longer explanation. A thread can develop the idea over several connected points. A reply should be relevant to the conversation it joins, not an unrelated sales pitch.

Use Generate drafts to begin once published articles are available. The supplied screen shows the starting state, not a completed generation, so it does not demonstrate the final appearance of the drafts.

Generation is not automatic posting

The screen explicitly states: “Everything stays a draft — nothing is posted, scheduled or submitted automatically.” Generating social copy is therefore a preparation step, not permission to publish it unattended.

Review each draft for accuracy, usefulness, voice, and destination before using it. Check that the resource link opens the intended public page and that any claim made in the short post is supported by the longer material.

This is particularly important for replies. A helpful answer should fit the question and follow the community's rules, including any restrictions on promotional links.

Set the channel controls

The Channels section lists LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube, Facebook Page, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Yelp, Bluesky, and Quora. Each has Auto, Manual, and Off settings; all appear set to Manual in the supplied screenshot.

  • Manual: generate, copy, and mark the item as published.
  • Off: never generate content for that channel for the client.
  • Auto: requires a saved login or key for that channel.

The screen identifies Reddit, Yelp, and Quora as manual only, with no posting API. Other listed channels indicate that Auto is possible once a login is added.

These connection options do not override the screen's draft-only generation notice. Nor does the list establish that every channel receives the same format, two variations, or a finished video or image. The introductory description specifically names LinkedIn posts, X threads, and Reddit replies.

Complete the manual publishing step

For a manual channel, copy the reviewed draft into the appropriate platform, make any final edits, and publish it there. Then use the workflow to mark it published. Check the actual live post rather than assuming copied text or a status change proves publication succeeded.

Keep the full article as the source of detail. Shorter social copy can introduce a finding or answer, but it should not strip away qualifications that make the original accurate.

What social sharing contributes to AI visibility

For Google AI Overviews, the strongest foundation remains useful, accessible source content. Social sharing can help people discover that content and may create additional public references to the business and its expertise.

However, a social post is not automatically available to AI crawlers. Login requirements, privacy settings, platform rules, and indexing restrictions can limit access. A shared link is not proof that Google or an LLM has read the destination, and social activity does not guarantee citations.

The practical goal is a consistent path from a useful short answer to a deeper public resource—not simply a higher volume of posts.
